The Director of Sales position, is a material handling solution based sales leadership role based in Frederik, MD. The Director will use their experience as an accomplished coach and mentor to lead the national sales team to exceed their key performance indicators. The Director of Sales, who reports to the company President, will own the process, with stakeholder input, to develop, implement, monitor and further develop the sales strategy. Responsibilities also include playing a leading role in the defining of the businesses R&D direction. Candidates with existing stakeholder relationships in material handling markets are preferred. Relocation assistance, base salary, uncapped commission potential with bonus based on company and personal performance will be provided
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, engineering or equivalent leadership experience that includes exceeding sales goals in a like position
7+ years’ experience successfully selling solutions based, customized systems
3+ years’ experience leading a profitable sales organization
3+ years’ experience hiring, coaching and mentoring a growing national or large regional sales team
Proven history as a builder of inclusive partnerships at all levels of the business who excels working in highly cross functional, highly matrixed environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with above average presentation experience
Above average emotional IQ level
Currently living in commutable distance to Fredrick, MD or relocatable in a reasonable time period
Experience in leading a sales organization selling solutions to customers in similar markets is required.
Demonstrated successful history of leading a Sales Function responsible for solutions sales to the material handling, distribution, assembly, food and beverage, postal, eCommerce, 3PL’s, after market part supply, fulfillment or warehouse markets
Travel up to 35%
Deep and wide knowledge of emerging technologies within the material handling industry
