Sept. 8, 2017 – Fort Worth, Texas – Handling Systems and Conveyors Inc. (HSC), a global manufacturer of heavy duty material handling systems based in Little Rock, Ark., with operations in Fort Worth, Texas, is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has announced plans for expanding its footprint to Oklahoma and West Texas.

The company design builds, installs and services conveyors and cranes for a variety of applications and industries, including aerospace, missiles and defense, construction equipment, automotive and heavy truck assembly. HSC serves general industry and Fortune 500 companies such as Lockheed Martin, Peterbilt Motors, John Deere, Honda, Ryerson Steel and Caterpillar, to name a few. The company’s custom production equipment includes: overhead power and free systems, smart cranes and smart hoists with PLC-controlled XYZ control, automated tank line cranes, light rail cranes, electrified monorails, towlines, skid systems, floor conveyors, trolleys and chains, work station systems, interlocks and switches, and runway structures. HSC provides 24/7 overhead crane and conveyor service, inspections and load certification, and replacement parts.

HSC manufactures conveyor systems at its 40,000-square-foot facility in Little Rock, which em-ploys about 40 people. The firm constructed a 22,000-square-foot crane manufacturing facility at 1300 Meacham Blvd. on Fort Worth’s north side in February 2016. The manufacturer received a five-year tax abatement from the city to build in the North Side Empowerment Zone, and to date has hired 20 local employees.

The company’s success can be traced to its core values of quality, dependability and professionalism, according to founder and president, Andrew Everett. Everett was working at Gaffey Inc., a former manufacturer of bridge crane systems, when he started HSC in 1992. The company has consistently grown since then. Today, HSC has $20 million in annual revenue.

“HSC has built its reputation as a company you can depend on,” Everett said. “We are an engineer-driven company. Every product is carefully designed and organized. We are committed to deliver quality products, completed on time.”

Quality is assured through HSC’s in-house Quality Control & Quality Assurance program that guarantees only quality products are manufactured and shipped. All HSC welder/fitters and service technicians are certified. HSC also has in-house OSHA and ANSI certified safety trainers. The company’s safety program is followed both in manufacturing and field installation.

HSC’s growth continues with plans to open a new facility in Tulsa, Okla., and one in West Texas within the next year, according to Everett.

“We attract the best people and HSC is a great place to work,” Everett said. “We work as a team and provide good compensation and benefits. HSC empowers its employees to be the best they can be and provides continuing education for every department.”
