National Sales Manager


Responsibilities

The National Sales Manager is responsible for the direction and management of all sales operations, including market intelligence, pricing, and direct selling and channel strategy for ASI’s transaxle and wheel drive product lines.  He/she reports to the CEO and is a member of the company’s executive team. The National Sales Manager will drive ASI’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals.

  • Grow top line revenue for Transaxles & Wheel Drives by at least 15% per year for the next 3 years
  • Manage and maintain current sales leads
  • Disciplined utilization of ASI’s CRM system
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plan for ASI Transaxles & Wheel Drives to include:

 

  • Capitalize on ASI’s strong engineering skill sets
  • Develop a creative prospecting plan that generates at least 5 new accounts within first 6 months and 10 within the first year
  • Utilize contacts to introduce ASI
  • Create innovative ways to sell ASI products
  • Support and develop existing Manufacturers Rep network (currently 9 Rep firms)
  • Find new Manufacturers Reps

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in selling technical products
  • 7 years’ minimum experience in relevant industries – gears, transaxles, wheel drives, electric motors, electro-mechanical engineered products
  • Bachelor’s degree; engineering degree is a plus
  • Adherence to Solution sales approach versus Product sales approach
  • Expertise in utilizing CRM software (Salesforce.com, Dynamics, etc.) and MS Office
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Outstanding, aggressive selling abilities
  • Strong communication skills overall, exceptional writing skills in particular
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Competitive nature and eagerness to meet sales objectives
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
