This hike is moderately difficult. You do not need hiking shoes, sneakers with a tread are appropriate. (Flip Flops are not!) The trail is loose dirt with moderate elevations. Layers of clothing and a hat are also suggested. Bring your own bottle of water.

The Conquistador Course at El Conquistador Golf & Tennis is a recently renovated Greg Nash design offering state-of-the-art agronomic conditions and a true 'country club' course. The Conquistador Course is located in a lush, park-like setting adjacent to the clubhouse by the driving range. Fringed with natural mesquite and palo verde trees, this fabulous 18 hole course is intertwined with vibrant desert flora and offers four sets of tee boxes suitable for golfers of all abilities. Wide, open fairways and long holes provide the challenge of negotiating desert vegetation.

Enjoy a day at Tohono Chul. We will begin the visit with complete garden tours by splitting into smaller groups led by volunteer docents. After the general tour, one-half of the group will go to a cooking demonstration and lunch where you will meet the chef and learn about native foods sources of the Sonoran Dessert. You will learn how to prepare a unique salsa and enjoy prickly pear margaritas. After the demonstration and lunch you will have an opportunity to shop. The other group will do the reverse; shop then enjoy lunch and the cooking demonstration so that everyone gets the full experience and returns at the same time.

About Tohono Chul

The mission of Tohono Chul Park is to enrich people's lives by connecting them with the wonders of nature, art and culture in the Sonoran Desert region and inspiring wise stewardship of the natural world. Tohono Chul is a Botanical Garden located on 49 acres.  It is also an art museum. In their Exhibit House is the Welcoming Gallery which they have a featured artist which changes quarterly and spotlights on his/her work and also is offered for sale many of the pieces shown. The Entry Gallery displays small group shows.  Tohono Chul also offers offers three distinctive museum shops called La Fuente, located off the Garden Bistro and has a little bit of everything plus regional cookbooks and spicy Southwest food items, La Galeria located off the Exhibit Gallery which has traditional Native American crafts, local works of art, regional books of the Southwest, and La Entrada & Greenhouse which has everything for the plant enthusiast plus garden art, and assorted books on gardening.

Every guest will find their creative side as they create a tiled treasure of their own! Starting with a tour of the studio, then one-on-one instruction from the tile artisans, guests will be ready to take charge of their projects. Armed with newly learned mosaic techniques, they will have the opportunity to choose from hundreds of tile pieces and colors to create a mosaic all their own.

The mission of Ben's Bells is to inspire, educate, and motivate people to realize the impact of intentional kindness, and to empower individuals to strengthen their relationships and communities by spreading that kindness. The Ben's Bells Project illustrates this mission with the Tucson community through the gifting of bells. Guests will learn the history behind the bells, and then discover how these bells continue to spread kindness throughout the city! They will have the chance to share some kindness of their own as they contribute to the creation of the bells that will be given to the community by painting and creating bells in the studio. Upon their departure each guest will have the chance to purchase a Ben's Bells token on their own so that they can have the opportunity to share kindness in their own community!
