Pat Davison Named MHI Director of Education and Standards

MHI is pleased to announce the appointment of Pat Davison to the position of Director of Education and Standards. In this role, Mr. Davison will continue to manage MHI’s Standards Program in addition to developing and implementing overall education strategies and initiatives for MHI.
In his new position, Mr. Davison’s responsibilities include collaboration with principal players in academia as well as MHI members and sister-organizations.
"Pat has an impressive background to meet the demands of MHI's growing educational efforts," said George W. Prest, MHI's Chief Executive Officer. "His experience will be a tremendous asset to MHI as we advance our efforts in this arena."
Mr. Davison’s background includes leadership roles, robotics, material handling, safety and environmental protection. After earning his BS in Natural Resource Development and MBA from Michigan State University, he has worked in various project management positions including service as Director of Standards Development for the Robotics Industries Association. He joined MHI in October of 2015 as Director of Standards.
For the past decade, Pat has volunteered as an awards judge for FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) in the FIRST Robotics Competition, which provides high school students hands-on experiences in STEM and mechatronics and encourages participants to consider careers in science and technology. He serves as Senior Judge Advisor for FIRST North Carolina.
MHI is an international trade association that has represented the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry since 1945. MHI members include material handling and logistics equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers and third-party logistics providers. MHI offers education, networking and solution sourcing for their members, their customers and the industry as a whole through programming and events.
