Greenville Company Honors Employee with Second Annual Humanitarian Award

Monday, January 29, 2018

Greenville, NC- Friday, January 19, 2018 - Penco Products, Inc., a Greenville-based manufacturing company, has announced its second recipient of the Penco Humanitarian Award.
Penco's President and CEO, Tom Kulikowski introduced the Penco Humanitarian Award in 2016. Tom wanted to recognize one Penco team member annually, for their commitment to service in the community. He channeled Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he quoted "Life's most persistent and urgent question is "What are you doing for others?" Penco employees were challenged to make a difference in others' lives. The Penco Humanitarian Award acknowledges and honors a Penco Products' employee that demonstrates a dedication to helping others in need through community service, volunteerism, and support of charitable causes.
Along with introducing the Humanitarian Award, Tom also implemented a new program for employees to be able to volunteer in the community during work days. The Community Service Program at Penco Products offers each employee a day to volunteer their time and service to any community project or program. "I believe great opportunities to help others seldom come but small ones surround us every day," according to Tom.  Employees are encouraged to bring forward programs and opportunities that the company can support. This program will enhance those opportunities and enrich more lives.
Penco announced the 2017 honoree for the Penco Humanitarian Award, Cedric Council. Last year's recipient, Randon Summers, presented the award. Cedric was acknowledged for good deeds such as:
