Scholarship

The objective of the Material Handling Education Foundation Scholarship Program is to promote the study of material handling and to expose as many students as possible to the material handling industry. The intent is to encourage careers within industry and in teaching and research that will prepare the next generation of industry leaders.

At the time of application, students must have completed at least two years of study. They must also be enrolled or provide proof of plans to enroll as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a MHEFI prequalified institution. Students from two-year post-secondary schools are eligible if they have completed two years of study and have been accepted as a transfer student at a MHEFI prequalified institution. All applicants must have maintained a "B" equivalent grade point average in post-secondary studies.

  1. A Primary Faculty Contact must be named who is willing to assist in the preparation and review of the scholarship application.
  2. The following must be provided to MHEFI:
    1. A completed online application (see below to begin).
    2. Three letters of recommendation. One letter must be from your primary faculty contact, a second letter must be from another full-time faculty member. The third letter may be from a part-time faculty member or from an industry supervisor (internship, co-op, employer, etc.).
    3. Official transcripts of all academic work completed beyond high school. Transcripts must be forwarded to MHEFI by the Registrar's Office (or equivalent functioning office).

The application, letters of recommendation, and official transcripts must be received by MHEFI by the February 28, 2014 deadline.
