The Willard P. Heddles Memorial Scholarship Fund was established on April 5, 2017 as an endowment to be held in perpetuity by MHEFI, to recognize and memorialize the important contributions of Mr. Heddles to the material handling industry. Heddles, Chairman and CEO of Tiffin Metal Products, Inc. and former member of the MHI Roundtable and Board of Governors, passed away on January 31, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He also served on the MHEFI Board of Directors, most recently as its Last Retiring President.
MHI has donated $35,700 in proceeds from ticket sales for Industry Night at ProMat 2017, to establish this endowed fund. Mr. Heddles was passionate about educating the future leaders of our great industry, and it is the Foundation’s hope that his industry colleagues and friends will have a desire to contribute to his fund so it can have an even bigger impact on the future of our industry.
