The College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) is pleased to announce the 16th International Material Handling Research Colloquium (IMHRC). This year, IMHRC has a coordinated program with the 11th International Scientific Symposium on Logistics (ISSL), sponsored by BVL International, so attendees are highly encouraged to participate in both events during June 19-23, 2023 in Dresden, Saxony, Germany.
IMHRC welcomes researchers in academia and industry who are addressing cutting-edge problems that directly support material handling within facilities and at facility interfaces as well as researchers who focus more directly on material handling itself. Examples of relevant topics include but are not limited to: design and operation of warehouses, distribution centers, harbors, and transshipment centers; technology and automation like AS/RS’s, shuttles, AGV’s, robotics, and other cyber-physical systems with applications in material handling; humans in material handling systems; and the role of facilities in supply chain design. The event is structured to facilitate dialogue and collaboration by providing participants with a program that includes a mix of invited presentations, structured discussions, poster sessions, facility tours, and social events.
