Rockwell Automation Joins CSS, MAG, TRG, and Solutions Community as New Member

Rockwell Automation is pleased to announce the recent approval of their application to join the Conveyor & Sortation Systems (CSS), Mobile Automation Group (MAG), The Robotics Group (TRG), and the Solutions Community at their Annual meeting, held in October.
MHI member companies have the opportunity to join any of MHI’s Industry Groups or the Solutions Community. Industry Groups share information and conduct research to stay at the forefront of their industry. Typical Industry Group activities include industry statistics collection, standards development, technical publications, public relations, promotion of safety, and member and user education. The Solutions Community brings MHI members together with equipment and systems users to collaborate and address common challenges and opportunities in manufacturing and supply chain in a safe harbor environment.
The CSS Industry Group of MHI has been recognized since 1971 as leaders in the design, manufacturing, and supply of conveyor and sortation systems equipment, components, and technology. CSS provides its members unique networking opportunities, access to industry trend data, industry education, and increased market presence.
MAG member companies meet regularly to review, discuss, and revise the standards for design, performance, and safe operation of automatic guided vehicle systems. MAG members are committed to the development, maintenance, and publishing of industry standard specifications for these systems.
MAG programs include:
1. The development of educational and training materials.
2. A voice in the development and maintenance of national standards.
3. The confidential exchange of market statistics and publication of industry data to the public.
4. The communication of the benefits of MAG solutions via trade shows, educational forums, and other national and regional seminars.
TRG members are leading manufacturers, integrators, consultants, and component suppliers of robotic solutions designed specifically for warehousing and distribution applications. TRG member companies meet regularly to identify methods of promoting adoption of robotic and automated solutions in material handling applications. We identify barriers to adoption and understand the voice of the customer while creating opportunities to encourage the transition of automated technologies to promote supply chain efficiency.
The MHI Solutions Community members are Industry’s thought leaders on automation, software, hardware, equipment, and services that support a fully integrated supply chain. This includes suppliers, integrators, consultants, media, academia, and users. They collaborate on solutions worldwide and in virtually every major manufacturing and distribution sector. The philosophy of the Solutions Community is to support MHI’s mission of providing a unique venue where suppliers of material handling equipment and technology can collaboratively work with the user community to improve the marketplace for all. All participants adhere to a safe harbor no-buy, no-sell environment to openly discuss topics of mutual interest, including best practices, lessons learned and other information.
