About
When a family member began to lose their mobility due to Multiple Sclerosis in 1968, there were limited personal mobility devices available. At the time, a young Al Thieme, was working as a plumbing and heating contractor in Bridgeport, Michigan.
Al knew there MUST be a better way.
After countless evenings spent working in his garage, Al constructed the Amigo. It was named for being the best friend of the person who used it. Thus a new industry in mobility was born. An industry that would allow individuals to maintain their independence.
With over half a century’s worth of experience in designing and manufacturing our product, our pace of innovation has lead us to product lines covering healthcare, grocery & retail, industrial, government and hospitals.
Amigo Mobility has provided unique solutions to customers all over the country. From maintenance and towing trailers to custom builds, our material handling line is moving people and products safely and efficiently everyday.
