Initial tier of forklift telemetry system to be included as standard equipment on counterbalanced and stand-up lift trucksGREENVILLE, N.C. (April 22, 2025) – Hyster announces that the base level of the company’s Hyster Tracker™ telemetry solution, known as wireless monitoring, will now be included as a standard feature on electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) counterbalanced lift trucks and select stand-up lift trucks. Wireless monitoring tracks lift truck utilization, impacts, location and diagnostic trouble codes. The technology allows operations to schedule and track preventive maintenance and better understand their total cost of fleet operations. Seven years of wireless communication fees are also included at no additional charge.“Operations depend on our equipment to keep them moving in some of the toughest material handling environments on earth. Fleet managers and forklift operators are pushed to do more with less, and not just any technology can keep up. But the right tools can make their jobs easier by helping crews to work more efficiently and get the most out of their equipment,” says Steven LaFevers, Vice President, Global Emerging Technology, Hyster. “The goal with making wireless monitoring standard is to equip more operations with the insights that can help them extend the life of their trucks and reduce avoidable damage, downtime and costs.”Hyster Tracker provides real-time fleet telemetry monitoring through easy-to-use dashboards that visualize data and provide actionable insights. It helps improve safety by encouraging operators to follow best practices, and it provides operations with visibility into their lift truck fleets so they can understand potential issues and implement proactive solutions. Data is stored on a cloud-based portal that can be accessed 24/7 through any internet enabled device. With wireless monitoring, operations can: Track utilization proficiency of operators and equipment to optimize workflow and boost productivity Monitor engine, transmission, hydraulic and electronic functions to help maximize uptime Receive safety notifications in real time Gain visibility into the location of lift trucks and operators and their activity See real-time impact alerts to improve site safety and reduce avoidable damage Access utilization, availability, charging and maintenance data to provide insight into right-sizing lift truck fleetsWireless monitoring is the first of three levels in the Hyster Tracker offering. The second, wireless access, enables several other features, including operator key card access that allows only authorized users with appropriate training to use equipment and automatic shutdowns to save energy when no operator is present or when an impact is detected. In the event of impact detection, the truck will remain shut down until it is inspected for damage. The third level, wireless verification, adds the ability to electronically complete and track pre-shift checklists, including those mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.About HysterHyster is a leading worldwide provider of Hyster® forklift truck and container handling solutions for the toughest, most intense industries on earth. Camera system detects pedestrians near the lift truck in both indoor and outdoor environments, triggers alerts for operator awarenessGREENVILLE, N.C. (April 15, 2025) – Hyster announces the launch of its pedestrian awareness camera, the latest addition to its lineup of Hyster Reaction™ operator assist technologies. The camera system can accurately identify pedestrians at ranges up to 16 feet through a 110-degree field of view and provides automatic alerts to the lift truck operator when a pedestrian is detected. The system is available with audible, visual and optional traction alerts. Upon pedestrian detection, a voiceover communicates pedestrian proximity, and a light indicates which zone the pedestrian is in on the truck-mounted operator remote. Traction alerts go a step further by automatically and gradually slowing down the lift truck, an effect similar to the operator removing their foot from the accelerator. While the operator remains in ultimate control of the equipment, this deceleration effect is intended to get their attention and encourage them to avoid the detected pedestrian by applying the brakes, steering away or both.“Operator situational awareness is a critical element of forklift and pedestrian safety, and our continued investment in Hyster Reaction operator assist solutions is meant to provide an extra layer of support as they navigate their surroundings,” says Steven LaFevers, Vice President, Global Emerging Technology, Hyster. “Our goal with the pedestrian awareness solution is to provide technology that operators can easily understand and use, capable of performing reliably in real-world applications – whether at a lumber yard, construction site or heavy manufacturing environment.”The pedestrian awareness detection system was developed using extensive amounts of photographic data collected from worksites. It adapts to various lighting and environmental conditions, and can be used for both indoor and outdoor forklift applications. The system is optimized for travel speeds of 5 miles per hour or less, giving operators ample time to identify alerts and react to avoid contact. The camera is mounted to the rear, forks-trailing side of the lift truck, and alerts disengage once the identified pedestrian is no longer in view of the camera. The system is available in multiple configurations, allowing operations to get audible and visual alerts only, or take advantage of all three, including traction alerts that engage deceleration. The pedestrian awareness camera is the latest addition to the Hyster Reaction lineup of operator assist technologies that take input from the work environment and equipment status to alert operators and adjust lift truck performance. The solution initially launched in 2021, and the technology has since accumulated over 24 million hours of run time on more than 8,300 units deployed in the field. Zero-emission container handler honored as a transformative product exemplifying ingenuity and problem-solving in actionGREENVILLE, N.C. (April 3, 2025) – Hyster announces recognition of its hydrogen fuel cell-powered (HFC) ReachStacker as a transformative product in the 2025 BIG Innovation Awards. The Hyster® HFC ReachStacker is currently functioning as part of a pilot program at the Port of Valencia, Spain – the first ReachStacker application in Europe using HFC technologies for container handling equipment in real operating conditions. Since 2011, Business Intelligence Group has recognized trailblazing individuals, companies and products across industries that are revolutionizing the world with bold innovation. The HFC-powered ReachStacker is an innovative, zero-emission solution that uses a hydrogen fuel cell engine to convert hydrogen into electricity. This alternative to traditional internal combustion engine-powered (ICE) equipment represents a step forward in enabling the decarbonization of ports. It offers reduced greenhouse gas emissions, noise pollution and operating costs compared to conventional ICE-powered container handlers.“With supply chains accounting for more than 90% of most organizations’ greenhouse gas emissions, ports play an important role in meeting emissions reduction targets,” says Lucien Robroek, President, Technology Solutions, Hyster. “The data we are collecting in the Port of Valencia pilot is a critical step to push the boundaries of what electrified container handling equipment can do, and recognition by the BIG Innovation Awards further validates these efforts.”Terminals have traditionally relied on diesel power for their fleets of vehicles, cranes and container handlers as they are required to carry heavy loads continuously with minimal downtime. But electric alternatives that produce zero tailpipe emissions are gaining traction for container handling applications. The HFC-powered ReachStacker can lift laden containers with similar performance to a diesel counterpart and handle intense duty cycles with long run times. Hydrogen is stored on board the ReachStacker in high-pressure tanks which can be refilled in 10-15 minutes and provide enough energy for up to 10 hours of continuous runtime. The BIG Innovation Award identifies and recognizes organizations devoted to bringing new ideas to life. Judged by a panel of experienced business leaders and executives, the award honors those dedicated to paving a way for products, services, experiences and solutions based on creativity, measurable results and overall impact.About HysterHyster is a leading worldwide provider of Hyster® forklift truck and container handling solutions for the toughest, most intense industries on earth. GREENVILLE, N.C. (July 8, 2024) – Hyster Company announces the latest addition to its lineup of forklifts with integrated lithium-ion power, the E80XNL. This 8,000-pound capacity cushion tire electric forklift joins four other Hyster models designed from the ground up around the form factor of a lithium-ion battery pack to offer a more spacious operator compartment and lower center of gravity. For heavy-duty operations looking for an electric alternative to internal combustion (ICE) trucks, the E80XNL provides performance they can count on along with exceptional ergonomics, improved energy efficiency compared to lead acid models, zero tailpipe emissions and low noise. The E80XNL is shorter than a comparable ICE model, enabling an improved turning radius and right-angle stack. Multiple battery sizes are available to equip trucks with the performance and run time each application requires. The largest battery can be fully charged in as little as 1 hour and 45 minutes with a 30kW charger and estimated typical run times range from 5 hours and 45 minutes in heavy duty cycles to as long as 11 hours in lighter duty applications. Throughout the shift, batteries accept energy from regenerative braking to help improve run time. “As demanding indoor applications in paper and packaging, manufacturing, automotive and other industries face pressure to decarbonize, lithium-ion offers several key advantages that make it well suited to their duty cycle, including zero battery maintenance, fast charging and ability to top off with a quick opportunity charge during breaks,” says Joshua Eby, Product Technology Manager, Hyster. “But it’s about more than just providing enough performance to do the job with less environmental impact. Electrifying can also unlock ergonomic advantages and operator assistance features.” The size and shape of the lithium-ion battery pack enable a unique truck design with ergonomic and comfort benefits for the operator. The seat is positioned lower for additional headroom, and air-ride seat options support a smooth ride. The spacious operator compartment allows for more freedom to position feet, to help keep operators fresh and productive throughout their shift. The E80XNL is available with Hyster Reaction™, an Edison award-winning technology package that helps reinforce forklift operating best practices and can be tailored to the needs of demanding, fast-paced indoor environments. GREENVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 20, 2024) — Hyster Company announces the Hyster® H40-70A forklift series is a winner of the prestigious 2023 GOOD DESIGN® Award. The configurable internal combustion engine-powered forklifts are the first in the A Series, which offers robust ergonomic features, a low total cost of ownership and an innovative technology engineered to help reduce the likelihood of forklift tip overs. The H40-70A models, which are available with 4,000-to-7,000-pound lift capacities, are designed around a singular base configuration derived from direct feedback from operators, managers, technicians, safety coordinators and other professionals. From there, operations can tailor additional features, creating a forklift based on their specific application.“While every operation faces their own unique challenges, some are common across industries – strained forklift operators, safety concerns and rising operating costs,” says Jimmy Anderson, Product Manager, Hyster. “Hyster is dedicated to designing solutions that address these widespread problems, while also helping operations tackle challenges specific to their business.”To support operator comfort and productivity all shift long, the H40-70A models are designed for ergonomics and convenience. In particular, the operator compartment enables easy entry and exit with a lowered seat, contoured hood, increased floor space, and generous head and shoulder clearance. A foot-activated, hand-released parking brake requires less effort than a hand-applied brake to minimize operator lean and back strain, while dynamic seat adjustment provides up to 25% more forward and backward seat adjustability than the leading competitive model.Several features help boost visibility, including a low dash and wide mast design that provide excellent forward visibility. A high-strength laminated glass roof is available to provide operators with an unobstructed upward view to help place loads at height. The forklifts are also available with the Hyster Dynamic Stability System (DSS), a solution that continually monitors truck performance to help reduce the likelihood of forward and sideways tip overs and reinforces operating best practices. When it detects the truck exceeding designated thresholds while carrying a load, DSS automatically implements measures like limiting truck speed and tilt range. GREENVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 31, 2024) – Hyster Company announces the launch of Power Cellect, an optional package available on 27 Hyster® electric forklift models. Power Cellect empowers users to easily switch power sources in electric trucks between traditional lead acid and low maintenance battery solutions like thin plate pure lead (TPPL) and lithium-ion. The solution provides a straightforward path for customers to change the truck’s battery type, and it is particularly effective for fleets transitioning to low maintenance battery solutions over time as well as for equipment that will be used for different applications with varied battery availability over the course of its life.Hyster previously offered a lithium-ion ready option on electric trucks, which enabled a smooth switch between lead acid and lithium-ion batteries. Power Cellect expands on the compatibility of lithium-ion ready by adding TPPL batteries to the mix and uses an electronic Controller Area Network (CANbus) for communication between a qualified battery and the truck. Once the battery is changed out, truck settings can be easily changed to switch power sources.“Whether sustainability goals, regulations compliance or other forces are driving electrification decisions, the common thread is that operations need flexibility. Power Cellect avoids locking operations into a single power option for the life of their equipment, and eliminates the complications and compromises of third-party setups,” says James Nielson, Hyster Senior Business Product Manager for Motive Power and Electrification. “Facilitating this fluidity across battery types is the latest example of Hyster powering possibilities for forklift fleets working in all our customers’ applications, even the toughest, most demanding jobs.”In addition to providing a convenient shift in motive power sources, Power Cellect offers major functional benefits. The truck-side battery early warning system includes lift interrupt and traction performance cutback capabilities, and the truck’s battery discharge indicator (BDI) accurately portrays state of charge across approved battery types, thereby eliminating the need for secondary displays and indicators. An internal battery protection function triggers a controlled shutdown when the battery reaches complete discharge, and operations can view additional battery data, such as battery state of health and lifetime discharge, when the Hyster Tracker telemetry system is added.About Hyster CompanyHyster Company is a leading world-wide lift truck designer and manufacturer. GREENVILLE, N.C. (Nov. 6, 2023) – Hyster Company announces that leading business publication Fast Company recognized the hydrogen-powered top pick as a finalist in its Innovation by Design Awards. The port equipment was named among the best sustainable projects of 2023 for its use of design to meaningfully reduce harm to the environment. The top-pick container handler, which is expected to provide emissions savings of 127 tons of carbon dioxide and almost half a ton of criteria pollution per year, is the first of its kind and is currently being piloted at the Fenix Marine Services terminal at the Port of Los Angeles. The truck is powered by two Nuvera® 45kw hydrogen fuel cells working in tandem with an on-board lithium-ion battery, with the fuel cells able to power the equipment directly or charge the battery. This allows operators to refuel the truck in about 15 minutes and then operate for 8 to 10 consecutive hours all while producing no harmful emissions – only heat and water. “With supply chains often accounting for more than 90% of an organization’s emissions, the pressure is on for ports to find sustainable solutions for their heavy-duty applications while still producing at the level they require,” said Jan Willem van den Brand, Director, Global Market Development, Big Trucks, Hyster. “This recognition joins a growing list of accolades that distinguish Hyster for this solution in particular, but also for our broader commitment to developing zero-emission solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in electrifying intensive industries.” The top-pick container handler is one of several clean power-focused port equipment projects that Hyster is currently working on. Recently, the company shipped a hydrogen fuel cell-powered ReachStacker to Spain’s Port of Valencia, where it will undergo a pilot program of its own at one of Europe’s largest container terminals. Hyster will also supply an empty container handler and a terminal tractor, both powered by hydrogen fuel cells, to a port terminal in Germany, and is working with Capacity Trucks to develop electric and hydrogen-powered terminal tractors. GREENVILLE, N.C. (April 27, 2023) – Hyster Company announces its selection by the Sustainable Energy Council (SEC) as one of four finalists in the industrial application category of the World Hydrogen 2023 Awards, presented to a company that has made positive contributions to the use of hydrogen and its industrial application over the previous year. Hyster is in the running for this award for designing and manufacturing the world’s first top-pick container handler powered by hydrogen fuel cells (HFC), which is currently being piloted at the Fenix Marine Services terminal at the Port of Los Angeles. Building on the industry standard Hyster® H1050-1150XD-CH top-pick container handler design, the truck is powered by two Nuvera® 45 kW hydrogen fuel cells, working in tandem with an onboard lithium-ion battery to either power the equipment directly or charge the onboard battery. It provides the zero emissions benefit of a battery-only electric option, but with enough energy capacity to keep operations moving for a full shift, avoiding the need to interrupt productivity and stop to recharge or refuel. Refueling the top pick with hydrogen can take as little as 15 minutes, and is designed to provide 8 to 10 hours of continuous run time while producing no harmful emissions – only water and heat. The top pick also features a patented energy recovery system that recovers and stores energy from lowering loads and braking, delivering more uptime and efficiency to save on energy requirements. The HFC-powered top pick is part of a broader approach by Hyster to use hydrogen fuel cells to enable the electrification of vehicles and equipment in more demanding applications that may not be a fit for power by batteries alone. “This HFC-powered top-pick pilot is an important step to meeting demand for electrification at ports. Whether equipment is powered by battery or hydrogen fuel cells, terminal operations need to have options that meet the daily realities of their application as they plan for emissions reduction targets,” says Lyndle McCurley, Vice President, Big Trucks, Hyster Company. “Our customers deserve options that allow them to build the right solution based on their needs, not limited selection or shoehorning a single power technology.” Compared to traditional internal combustion engine-powered equipment, the emissions savings from a single HFC-powered top pick are estimated to be 127 tons of carbon dioxide and almost half a ton of criteria pollution over the course of the year. The HFC top-pick project is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, improving public health and the environment, and providing meaningful benefits to the most disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and low-income households. “The Port of Los Angeles is proud to partner with Hyster in their work on hydrogen fuel cell technology,” says Chris Cannon, Chief Sustainability Officer, Port of Los Angeles. “Not only does that work help the Port reach its zero-emissions goals, but it pushes the needle for what is possible for the future of clean cargo handling.” One winner in each of six categories will be recognized on May 9, 2023, during the World Hydrogen 2023 Summit & Exhibition in the Rotterdam Ahoy, Netherlands, organized by Sustainable Energy Council in partnership with the Province of Zuid-Holland, the City of Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam. About the Award: The World Hydrogen 2023 Awards, selected by the Sustainable Energy Council and sponsored by BOSS Energy Consulting, honor companies and individuals in six categories who are transforming the hydrogen industry. Through innovation, partnerships and commercial advances, the 2023 finalists and winners are enabling the scalability needed to make hydrogen commercially viable and readily available to decarbonize even the most polluting sectors of our global economy. Acknowledgement with an Edison Award demonstrates the company’s ability to provide powerful, working solutions capable of real-world impact. “Using Hyster Reaction helps employers and employees raise the bar, supporting them as they safely navigate busy indoor environments like those in general manufacturing and paper and packaging operations,” says Jennifer Meyers, Brand Manager, Hyster. “Since initial availability on five models, based on customer demand, the system is now offered on a total of 18 Hyster lift trucks, including 11 counterbalanced forklift models, so customers in more industries and applications can take advantage of this unique operator assist solution.” Hyster Reaction was developed to support a customer’s safety initiative and is the result of an investment of more than 40,000 hours of research and development by Hyster-Yale Group, parent company to Hyster. The solution is commercially deployed on 4,750 lift truck units, and won Edison Award recognition in the improved location sensing category. “One of the things that really sets Hyster Reaction apart is that it can actually automatically apply performance limitations,” says Steven LaFevers, Vice President of Emerging Technologies, Hyster. “Whereas most other systems will only trigger a flashing light or alarm when they detect obstacles, compromised stability or other hazards, Hyster Reaction goes a step further. The solution will actually impose slow-downs and other controls, like an inability to raise forks in locations where the operator does not have clearance. This more active approach also allows operators to feel what’s happening as the system intervenes, providing an additional layer of feedback to help improve operator performance.” About the Award The prestigious Edison Awards, named after the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, honor excellence in new product and service development, marketing, design and innovation. All nominations were reviewed by the Edison Awards Steering Committee with the final ballot being determined by an independent judging panel. The panel was comprised of more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from the fields of product development, design, engineering, science, marketing and education, as well as past winners. Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were announced at the Edison Awards Gala on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in Fort Myers, FL. GREENVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 12, 2022) – Hyster Company releases the first models built on its all-new A Series platform, the award-winning Hyster® H40-70A series. These 4,000-to-7,000-pound capacity lift trucks offer world-class ergonomics, low total cost of ownership and safety features designed to bolster confidence and productivity, including the innovative Dynamic Stability System (DSS). The A Series is a new line of forklift trucks manufactured using the company’s A+ Logic design philosophy. A+ Logic is a scalable approach that begins with the strong base of the A Series truck platform and allows customers to choose the options they need from a fully integrated set of scalable and adjustable features based on their unique application. “We developed A+ Logic because no two customers face identical challenges, and meeting their needs means building the truck around them – not a generic, off-the-shelf solution,” says John Santiago, Director, Product Planning and Solutions, Hyster. “The tight-knit collaboration between our dealers and customers is an essential part of our approach, and the A Series platform allows us to act on that, delivering a lift truck solution built around their needs, with everything they need and nothing they don’t.” The flexibility to get only the options needed enables the H40-70A to deliver the capability operations require while protecting budgets. Durable components and extended service intervals help further control maintenance spend and bolster reliability and uptime. While the A Series offers exceptional configurability, it also offers robust standard features, such as DSS. Standard on all H40-70A models and completely maintenance-free, DSS uses sensors to continually monitor truck status. When it detects the truck exceeding designated thresholds, DSS automatically implements measures like limiting truck speed and hydraulic function, to help minimize the risk of forward and sideways tip-overs. “The A Series delivers the tough, high-quality forklifts that customers in demanding applications expect, with advances to support truck stability, operator best practices and ultimately, productivity,” says Jimmy Anderson, Product Manager, Hyster. “As operators push to get the job done, DSS lends them a helping hand, automatically reinforcing their training. It gives visual indicators, audible alerts and automatic performance adjustments for stable travel that keeps business moving. Whether you are an operator, a manager or a business owner, DSS is a tool to help you meet your targets for performance and safety.” The focus on the operator extends to ergonomics, with the H40-70A designed for high levels of visibility and comfort to equip operators for optimal performance all shift long. The operator compartment enables easy entry and exit with a lowered seat, increased floor space, and generous head and shoulder clearance. A low dash and wide mast design provide excellent forward visibility, and an optional high-strength laminated glass roof offers an unobstructed upward view to help operators placing loads at height. LOS ANGELES (Oct. 11, 2022) — Hyster Company announces testing of a top-pick container handler powered by hydrogen fuel cells (HFC) at Fenix Marine Services in the Port of Los Angeles. Building on the industry standard Hyster® H1050-1150XD-CH top-pick container handler design, the truck is powered by two 45kw hydrogen fuel cells from Nuvera, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyster parent company Hyster-Yale Group. A California Climate Investments grant awarded by the California Air Resources Board in 2018 helped support development of the HFC-powered container handler. The HFC-powered top pick is designed to provide the zero emissions benefits of a battery electric option, with enough capacity to keep operators moving and avoid the need to stop in the middle of a shift to refuel or recharge. Refueling the top pick with hydrogen fuel is expected to take approximately 15 minutes, with the intention to provide eight to 10 hours of continuous run time, all while producing no harmful emissions – only water and heat. The hydrogen fuel cell works in tandem with an onboard lithium-ion battery to either power the equipment directly or charge the onboard battery. The top pick is also equipped with a patented Hyster® energy recovery system for electric container handlers that recovers and stores energy from lowering loads and braking. The Fenix Marine Services (FMS) container terminal, acquired in 2021 by the CMA CGM Group, a global player in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, uses compressed hydrogen delivered on-site to fuel the top pick. “We are excited to participate in this pilot and implement another sustainable solution designed to help meet Clean Air Action Plan 2030 objectives. Exploring the use of hydrogen as a zero-emission fuel source is important for the entire transportation industry and is a perfect complement to the other alternative energy research and development projects our parent company, CMA CGM Group, is spearheading to protect the planet and reach net-zero carbon by 2050,” says FMS CEO Steve Trombley. To electrify higher-capacity equipment for port terminals, Hyster draws on extensive experience in electric truck design with the company’s line of smaller, lighter-capacity powered industrial trucks used in both indoor and outdoor settings. The company has recently launched lithium-ion powered forklifts with load capacities up to 36,000-pounds, and previously announced a pilot of a fuel-cell powered ReachStacker at the Port of Valencia, a fuel cell-powered empty container handler at a terminal in Hamburg, Germany and a joint partnership to develop electric and hydrogen powered terminal tractors. “Our mission is to provide the innovative technologies our customers need to help meet their goals for emissions reduction and performance. For some operations, lithium-ion power might be the answer, but for others, hydrogen is the right choice,” says Jan Willem van den Brand, director, global market development, big trucks, Hyster. “The answer depends on so many factors like duty cycle, utility grid capacity and fuel availability. Our customers deserve choices that allow them to build the right solution based on their needs – not shoehorning a single technology into their operation.” This project is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, improving public health and the environment, and providing meaningful benefits to the most disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and low-income households. GREENVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 23, 2022) – Hyster Company announces the launch of an integrated lithium-ion battery-powered lift truck built to meet the demands of the fast-paced trucking industry. The J40XNL supports workflows common in trucking terminals, like loading and unloading trailers, with a strategic open-space design that prioritizes operator comfort and reduces the truck weight to improve acceleration and reduce energy consumption. “The trucking industry is electrifying quickly, and that trend includes more than just the tractor-trailers on the highway,” says Buddy Spurrier, Director, Major Accounts, Logistics, Hyster Company. “Our customers are looking across their supply chains, including lift trucks, to find options that can not only reduce their carbon footprint, but also support operator retention and productivity in what are often extremely busy, multi-shift operations.” A four-wheel counterbalanced model with a 4,000-pound capacity, the J40XNL is a strong match for trucking: • Low step height – Reduces the amount of effort needed to climb into the cabin, a key attribute in workflows where operators are frequently mounting and dismounting lift trucks to make use of the equipment nearest to the trailer that needs to be loaded or unloaded next. • Operator-centric ergonomics – Support operator awareness with comfortable seating, increased headroom for taller drivers and greater space in the operator compartment encouraging freedom of movement. • Improved truck feel – A lowered center of gravity improves truck handling in corners, while reduced truck weight improves acceleration. • Maintenance- and emission-free power – A sealed lithium-ion battery eliminates battery cleaning, watering and equalizing, and doesn’t emit fumes or gasses. • Trucker’s mast – Designed with trucking in mind, the optional trucker's mast meets application lift heights while helping minimize the risk of trailer and bay damage. The J40XNL is a fit for other intense industries looking for solutions to help reach zero emissions targets, such as general manufacturing, agriculture, home centers, chemicals and plastics, and auto and transport manufacturing.
