FORT SMITH, Ark.—Hytrol Conveyor Company participated in the annual banquet held by the Arkansas Manufacturing Professionals (AMP). The event was held at the ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center on Thursday, September 19. AMP was formerly known as the Arkansas River Valley Manufacturing Young Professionals (ARVMYP). The mission of AMP is to empower and develop manufacturing professionals, foster professional relationships, drive industry success, and serve the local community. Logan Long is the vice president of the AMP board of directors, and the operations manager at Hytrol in Fort Smith. Long played an active role in the event. JONESBORO, Ark.—Hytrol Conveyor Company Inc. would like to announce the promotion of Ashley Royse to Controller. Royse has been with the company since 2020 and has previously served in roles such as Accounting Manager and Cost Accountant. Her new role is effective as of October 1. In the new position, Royse will manage all the general accounting functions for the company. These functions include accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, expense reporting, month-end closing, internal controls and fixed assets. JONESBORO, Ark.—Hytrol Conveyor Company hosted a special meet and greet event with A-State football coach, Butch Jones and a couple of the players on Tuesday, August 6th. Hytrol employees were given the opportunity to meet Coach Jones, Howl, starting quarter back Jaylen Raynor and safety Justin Parks. While chatting, the group shook hands, signed autographs and posed for pictures. Door prizes included an autographed football and helmet from the team. JONESBORO, Ark.—On Friday, June 21, Todd McClung presented a donation of $50,000 to the A-State Foundation on behalf of the Workforce Training Consortium (WTC). McClung is the current WTC president and VP of Manufacturing Operations for Hytrol Conveyor Company Inc. The funds will directly benefit the Arkansas State University Engineering department. JONESBORO, Ark.— Boyce Bonham has been named the 2024 Loberg Award recipient. The award was presented during a special ceremony held at Hytrol in Jonesboro on July 1, a special day for the company, as it is also the birthday of Hytrol’s late founder, Tom Loberg. The Loberg Award is the highest honor a Hytrol employee can receive. Loberg Day is celebrated each July in Jonesboro and Fort Smith to pay homage to Mr. Loberg and the mission, vision and values he instilled in his company. Loberg Award recipients best embody the core values of faith, family, empathy, commitment, gratitude and community. Hytrol employees nominate those who they believe should be selected to win the Loberg Award. Finalists and a winner are then chosen by a panel that includes employees from across the company. Bonham has been with Hytrol for over 39 years and is the Chief Technology Officer. He said, “I’m honored to be chosen. I was fortunate to get the chance to work here while Tom was involved so I could see the values that he demonstrated and instilled in others. JONESBORO, Ark.—Hytrol Conveyor Company, Inc. was recognized at the 2024 American Advertising Awards (ADDY) Gala on Friday, February 23. The event was held at the Cooper Alumni Center and hosted by the Northeast Arkansas chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Hytrol’s marketing team took home eight different recognitions for their submitted pieces. The company received three Gold ADDYs, three Silver ADDYs and one honorable mention. The team was also chosen for the Judges’ Choice Award for their redesign of the Hytrol website. Submissions included commercials, online videos, posters, and art installations published by the team in 2023. The gold award-winning submissions will advance automatically to the AAF district competition to compete with work from Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. “This kind of recognition for the team is well-earned,” said Director of Marketing Paige Phillips. “At the end of the day, they do valuable work with the goal of supporting Hytrol with professional and effective marketing. I am proud to be associated with a team of such tremendous professionals, and proud to be at a company whose leadership trusts and supports us.” The professional American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest competition, attracting more than 25,000 entries each year. The competition is three-tiered, going from local to district to national. Judges for the NEA awards were chosen from outside the marketplace, and entries for the local competition spanned the entire state of Arkansas. JONESBORO, Ark.—Hytrol Conveyor Company Inc., a leader in the material handling industry, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new distribution center. The company held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Hytrol Distribution Center (HDC) located at 4000 Moore Road in Jonesboro’s new E-Commerce Park. The event featured remarks from esteemed guests including Robert Jones, Hytrol Board Chairman; David Peacock, Hytrol President; and Jonesboro Mayor Harold Copenhaver. Additionally, Tony Sartin, Director of Logistics, provided an overview of the warehouse. Sartin said, “Quick delivery has always been a top priority for Hytrol. We want our customers to be happy with our solutions and services. The added space and centralized location of this distribution center will help us be more organized and efficient in continuing to meet those goals.” The Hytrol Distribution Center, spans 150,000 square feet and is designed to be Hytrol’s main hub for distributing products to customers. Pallets allow for items to be racked, labeled and located with pinpoint accuracy. The main goal of the new warehouse is a centralized locale for shipping processes and a streamlined approach to completing orders swiftly. In his new role, Bonham will focus on updating and streamlining Hytrol’s engineering processes. JONESBORO, Ark.—The Arkansas STEM Coalition held a STEM Think Tank session at the A-State Cooper Alumni Center on October 26. Hytrol served as the Platinum Sponsor.
